Oleksii Shevchenko is a Ukrainian contemporary sculptor, public artist and painter, born in 1978 in Sumy, Ukraine.
He graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv and has been working as a professional artist and sculptor for more than 20 years. His artistic practice combines monumental sculpture, public art and abstract painting.
Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous symposiums, public art projects and exhibitions in Ukraine and Europe. He works with a wide range of materials, including bronze, stone, wood, sandstone and granite, exploring the relationship between history, collective memory and contemporary artistic expression.
Since 2022, he has continued his artistic activity in Europe, developing international collaborations and participating in cultural projects. Since late 2025, he has been based in Germany.
